so now theyre saying that while we were in the studio, we (i) took a picture of the answers to YCW. i called in and told him that I didnt find the answer, but that a new haveahectic member named "Ben" found it. but they decided that it was more fun to go after my "gay stalker " side and things kinda went downhill after that. so as of today,
i do solemnly swear to take a few steps back from my position as #1 paul and young ron fan in south florida. no more call ins or stop bys anymore either.
thats it. im done.

Don't blame you. When I heard Paul's accusations, I thought, "what a dick!" I thought since question 1 was about Palm Beach and Paul is always on about doing something for that county, they were doing a theme. So the answer would be easier to google or something. And it was posted here, but Paul doesn't care.

People should call in and rip Paul a new one. He can be such an arrogant jerk. He doesn't credit people for being smarter than him. If he was so concerned that the answers were stolen then maybe he should have been more careful with them. I don't blame you for not wanting to be his "#1 fan." Right now I agree that Paul can spin on his you know what and suffer.

And to add insult to injury - I missed the recording of your phone call because the stream was down. (I blame my in-laws for that one last trip to the bar after dinner - otherwise I'd have been up at 6, noticed it was down and changed to WKGR.) I've learned my lesson - I have to record each stream...@%&#*
Ben should call or email the show to let them know how he came by the answer. But even still, Paul should take you at your word, Doug. Even if he didn't, if you really knew the answers, why would you blow it on question #2? Why not wait for #6?
How about it, Ben? Are you out there?

Allright I have been thinking about this all morning. First of all, I just want to say that I know for a fact that Doug did not cheat on YCW. It dosent make any sense. # 1 Soren took the pictures with PNYR (he cannot win u cant win b/c he lives in Denmark), # 2 You can look back in the forum section of this site and see the multiple times Doug has tried to guess the answers for question 1 in the entire month the question was unasnwered. In fact, the person who figured out the answer for #1 was haveahectic user Henry, not Doug!! # 3 if u took a picture of all the prizes i think you would have won. On the other hand, you have no reason (Doug) to be pissed off about this because its all a joke. Thats what this whole show has been about for the last 15 years, and its not gonna change. I've called in and have gotten made fun of before, infact it happens multiple times every day. Imagine how Kit Bowing must feel after all these years! Besides, you gave them the ammunition by showing up to the front door of Steves house twice! We know Paul can be arrogant at times (thats his character and its never going to change, Ron and Toast know this too). But thats all the more reason why u shouldn't give up on the show and continue to call in and defend yourself when nessacary. It is hard arguing with Paul, everyone knows that too, but ur voice still has a right to be heard!!!
One last thing: This whole thing was funny and it gave haveahectic.com a good amount of publicity, so u should be happy!

hey bruce, not that it matters, but did you record the "rewind" portion of the show? they played it in its entirety at 11.
im not that pissed about it anymore cuz i got a reply from steve to my "ranting" email but have yet to hear back from paul. i could really care less about the whole "gay stalker" thing either. ive been called much worse in my life. the thing that pissed me off was the accusatory tone that paul had. i have ALWAYS prided myself in bieng fair and honest. and once again, if paul had bothered to do one lick of research, he would have seen that the answer came from ben, not me. as far as i know, ben has never been in the PnYR studio, so there goes that theory.
here is my email to paul, and if he replies, i will post his answer:
to be completely truthful, i went to thank him for making me sort of a celebrity by bringing up the first visit. i knew he was sick and had no intention of staying for a drink or anything. it was simply a thank you visit. and trust me. it wont happen again.
now. on to the other subject. i dont know if you seriously think i cheated or not, but you can rest assured that i did not, and would not ever, cheat. the answer was found by one of the haveahectic.com members named ben. i just happened to be the right caller on friday.
and let it be known that i am not calling in anymore, and not going to your appearances because it seems to be causing problems. i'll probably still listen, but i am no longer trying to be a #1 fan. i now get called a gay stalker on a daily basis and that is something i can live without.

Paul is such a whinner. Did you hear hear him about the AC when the guy called and said Ron was right and it had to do with humidity. The caller basically said Paul probably oversized his AC unit (I guess he is a regular listener and knows what Paul is like) Paul an not ever accept he just might possibly be wrong

Paul is just looking for a reason to tell his beloved sponsors why their hopeful 8-12 months of advertising is almost halfover in a month. I hope I cleared Dougs name. Good plug for the site too I think, any publicity is good publicity right? I think I should get a share of the prize for my answer but thats just me.

I joined the thread to agree with you! Paul is a whiny little bitch. If it wasn't for everyone else on the show, I would have stopped listening a long time ago. Well, that and there really isn't anything else decent to listen to on Miami radio in the morning...

i wish it would end more than anyone, but all these emails from paul came AFTER Ben called in. i sent another email to paul a few minutes ago with the 3 links jamie posted above, and told him i want an on-air apology before YCW tomorrow. we'll see. but i doubt it.

Mondays and Wednesdays are my off mornings, why does all this good stuff have to happen while i am at work????? At least I will have a lot of fun stuff to listen to while I am at the gym today. And Ben u are right about the publicity, yesterday right after the plug we got new members in the chat room and im sure the same thing happened today. And some more advice to Ben, even though Doug that was a nice offer, save ur time and DONT watvh Old Country Men, whatever, Paul was right about one thing the ENDING SUCKS!! Its not that bad, but u will be so pissed at the end that u will wish u didnt just waster 3 hours of ur life on that.

i heard the "queer chaser" comment while sitting on I-95 and couldnt stop laffing. and its a pretty sure bet that paul put ron up to it, just so he could reply with, "no no. hes not a stalker."
