Not gonna happen. Today's answer was somewhere other than Florida (I think she said Denver or something like that) and Paul said she wasn't even close. Its definitely going to be in Florida and most likely in Palm Beach County, as that seems to be the thread to this season of YCW.

I have to agree that question 3 has to do with Florida and probably with the Palm Beach area as some of you have mentioned here.
Ron made a comment to Paul regarding something to the effect of "what are you doing a Palm Beach YCW" ----sorry maybe not his exact words but to that effect.
Also, there was an unusual long pause after she answered Boyton Beach. This would lead me to believe the answer may be close, or they were about to give/ask for something more to that answer hinting it may be on the right track.

i believe it may have something to do with college recruitment , like at UF , they always say where else can you have a february tan , to try to get student athletes to attend.

Here's the thing though. The actual wording of the question is Where is a February suntan a selling point?
When you google "February suntan" only about 6 results show up, and none of them are about selling points.

I'm inclined to believe it could be UF, because there is nothing on google. the recruiters tell the athletes that they can get a "february suntan".
to joe schmoe high school linebacker in nebraska, that sounds pretty good. ie - a selling point.
but i dont think im gonna call in with the answer to this one. one of you other guys needs to do it.

I asked around to some UF alums and they said that the "February Suntan" in Gainseville is plausible. So knowing where the jerk went to college, that is probably, but not necessarily, the answer. Of course, we know that if that is the answer who they will blame for it getting out there so quickly. :) Ha Ha :) Just kidding.

I went to UF, but I don't recall the February suntan thing. Of course, coming from Palm Beach County, I thought it was more like crappy Georgia weather than sunny south Florida. Plus, umm, those days are a little...hazy to me, weather aside.

i talked to my sister in law this afternoon. she graduated from UF and has lived in Alachua (right next to G'ville) her whole life. she said she has never heard the phrase "February Suntan". i guess its time to rethink, but i wish someone would call in and try it, just so we know for sure that it isnt the answer.

Paul mentioned this morning that someone e-mailed him the correct answer. did they really? or did he see it here and just tell everyone that it was an email to kinda mis-direct them?
someone needs to call in with one of the answers we have here to find out. i still have another week before i can play again (stupid 30 day rule) but after that, i might try again.

The "academic" hint came up again this morning. And when the person said she and her daughter were trying to think of an answer, he made fun of them. The lady guessed "tanning salon". These people are driving me crazy! I've been trying to call in for days. I wish the people who are just guessing would stop calling.

you need to start calling when they go to break just before they play YCW. if you wait til he says "caller 13", you will never get through. FWIW- im positive they dont actually take caller 13, they take caller 1. i hope you get through on monday and answer it.

Yah, I agree Ben, I have called in b/f and have been hung up on for being the wrong caller. Plus its unethical for them to do that, and its probably very hard to proove, but the FCC could probably fine them for taking caller 1 when they say caller 14, if that was the case. Besides, they need to give the Gater listeners time to call, seeing that there is a 20 second delay on their station. And about the calling early thing, that could work but Ive been told b/f that im calling too early.

The time I made it through I waited until had the number in my phone, waited til they started the YCW theme song (the Carmean one) and hit "Send."

Well, checking google and yahoo searches, if you put february suntan in quotes in the search, this forum comes up in the top 3 or so. So, maybe by now more people will have a better answer. If only people would actually research it instead of stupid guesses like "Iowa" (or whatever state it was that lady said earlier this week)...

OLIVIA!!! HOW DARE U??? POINTLESS? For some maybe, not for that guy and his little girl who played the game in the car everyday last year on their way to school and eventually called in with question # 6 and won ALL thoose prizes. And i think the new rule should be that if a caller calls in and gets a ? wrong that has already been answered wrong or repeats someone elses prior guess, like todays caller did, they should NOT get the consellation prize.
ps - olivia - i think u mean the questions are pointless! i agree on that one

I was caller 9 today, but I like your advice, Doug. I will try again tomorrow and shout to them that I know the answer. Although, the intern who p/u the phone is quick to get you off after they tell you what caller you are.
