Lets look at this thing logically..$5 for residents $10 for non-residents...so it is something small and a user fee..maybe something like a boat launching fee or a swimming pool fee maybe an entrance fee to a park or event at a park  but the question is "resident" of what city or county or state

My guess is the adult admission fee to the Coral Gables Venetian Pool from April to October, although the website currently indicates the rate is $10 for non residents and $4.50 for residents. But maybe they've raised it 50 cents?

I have no fucking idea, but in the interest of being detailed, the exact question is what costs $5 for city residents and $10 for non residents. It dosent specify that the $10 is for non-city residents, just non residents. Does that make any difference?? I have no idea, but i just wanted to be specific, as the answer might have something to do with a technicaliity like that.

I have a feeling that when Paul hinted today that this would be a tough one, he wasn't kidding. I always think that question #1 should be a little soft...question #6 should be tough, and everything in between can be either - but you need at least one (if not two) easier ones - to make sure the advertisers get their money.

Paul actually said yesterday "it doesn't say what city." So this question is stupid right from the start, but then again so was "Who said 'this place sucks'?" and "Who are Lucas, C.K. and Sandy?" The dog name question pissed me off because "are" is a present tense yet they admitted to the fact that all dogs were dead at the time. Plus it absolutely required a hint to get it. This question is going to be similar, which is sad because its question #1.

Besides, its obviously a city parking decal.

Since the city wasn't actually defined:

USA GOJU Karate, Pompano Beach, FL

Yoga, Pompano Beach, FL

Line Dancing, Pompano Beach, FL

Aerobics with Kathy, Pompano Beach, FL

Storage lot, Orange Blossom, RV Resort, Apopka, FL

I found a bunch of non-Florida answers but its definitely gonna be a Florida thing. My guess is the Hollywood Dog Park most likely. Or the pick up basketball. Or maybe the Pompano registration fee.

my off the wall answer:

when i googled the question word for word this was one of the hits:

the admissions price to the city swimming pool in Concord, North Carolina

my convoluted logic: Concord, NC is outside Charlotte which happens to be the site of the radio convention our radio hosts will be attending.

This mornings answer had to do with the cost of fingerprinting. Blautens probably has some first hand knowledge of this subject, as i understand it he used to be a police officer. I've worked at apre-school for some time, and at least (from what I know its about $30 for DCF fingerprinting.) But their pricing has nothing to do with residency. So my guess is that its a local city police station. the question is which one?

Soren had found the Englewood, CO answer yesterday and mentioned it in the chat. I looked and couldn't find any other cities. Now I'm confused, but I maintain that this is a stupid question.

Hi All,

I stumbled across this site and just joined. Anyways, I think I found the answer to question 1. As I searched I had also found the information about the CO police department but figured that it had to be easier than that. So I did a little further digging and found that on the Palm Beach Gardens Police Dept website it lists that fingerprinting cost $5 for residents and $10 for non-residents. I hope this is the right answer. Good luck!

I finally was able to register onto this site.

Anyway, I, too, found a place in NC where voluntary fingerprintin is $5. for residents and $10. for non-residents.

City of Eden, North Carolina

Non-City Residents Field Rental - Mill Avenue - Dehart Park - $100 per (1) ...
Fingerprinting fee on voluntary basis $5.00 residents - $10.00 non resident ...
www.ci.eden.nc.us/coe-business_occupational%20fees.html - 79k - Cached - Similar pages

Don't know if it will help, but best of luck to all.

Every day someone calls and gets this answer wrong its another day someone doesn't Google the answer and find this thread, which is the first hit for most search strings.

For those who are finding this page and want to know the answer to Question #1, its:

Fingerprinting in Palm Beach Gardens

I am sure Bruce will report on this later today, but we finally got the answer for YCW # 1. As Jamie pointed out earlier, Palm Beach Gardens is the correct answer. And I believe # 2 is what happens on April 17, 2011? Good luck!
