11 of them in Miami

Could it be the word Miami in the song Miami? If you do the chorus twice as it is sung you total 11.

the word 'miami' is written 9 times in the lyrics
5 of those are in the verses
4 of those are in the chorus.
the chorus is sung twice.
5+4+4=13
nice try tho.

This one is stumping everyone. No one really has a good idea. It will just be a bunch of guessing until someone gets it right.

I know someone guessed spanish words...but maybe it's foreign words??? I can only find 8 or 9 (I can't remember), but things like "mardi gras" are foreign language words, not necessarily spanish words...Anyone want to do a check through the song to see if I missed a few?

I count 9 foreign words as well. But I have a thought, and I do not believe the answer is in the song itself. I will not say anymore at this time as I think I have the answer and I want to win it. Listen for me.........

Has anyone considered that it may not have to do with the song but may have to do with the video? Its possible that there are 11 girls in bikinis in the video, or maybe dolphins cheerleaders?
Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGFilK4Hjj4
I haven't watched because, frankly, i can't win anyway so why waste my time. But it may be worth a shot for those eligible.

I believe it is the video. That is what I meant by my above post. I will give what I believe to be the answer, but if I do not get though and someone uses my answer.....
I believe it is scene changes. there are 11 of these in the video

Well, after weeks of trying to get through I finally made it!
Sadly, My answer was wrong.
I was really trying to look for an answer that no one had thought of. In case you werent listneing my answer was "The number of times Will Smith says 'Uh' and 'Yeah' in the song Miami".
I said this because there are only about 9 uh's and yeah's in the printed lyrics but 11 when you listen to the song and video. But, I was wrong.
If it helps anyone, paul said it's not a combination of things.
Seeing as I can't call in for 30 days...GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

It seems that Joe might be right abouth the video...but it's kind of touchy. Does the beach scene right before the plane constitute a "scene" without Will in it??
Here they are:
1 Cafe
2 (beach)
3 Plane
4 Airport
5 Bar
6 Car
7 South Beach
8 South Beach Night
9 Beach (with Will)
10 Boat
11 Final Stage
......it may be worth a try!

Ok, I need to see if any one agrees with me here. I originally posted above with the answer I called in with 2 days ago. My answer was:
"There is a comdination of Uhs and Yeahs in the Will Smith song Miami"
I did alot of reseach and I know I am right.
They guy that called in today answered "11 Uhs in the song" and he won.
This is wrong and I shold have won. Let me explane...
There are 7 Uhs (2 of which aren't in any lyrics online) and 4 yeahs
for a grand total of 11. There are no other Uhs in the song. I believe they counted the Yeahs as Uhs, but clearly, as you ca see below, they
are Yeahs. I know this is a dumb argument, But I know I'm right. Here are the lyrics.
(There are 2 extra Uhs here)
Yeah yeah yeah yeah Miami uh uh Southbeach bringin the heat uh Haha can yall feel that Can yall feel that Jig it out uh
Here I am in the place where I come let go Miami the base and the sunset glow Everyday like a mardi gras everybody party all day No work all play okay So we sip a little something lay to rest the spill Me an charlie at the bar runnin up a high bill Nothin less than ill when we dress to kill Everytime the ladies pass they be like hi will Can yall feel me all ages and races Real sweet faces Every different nation spanish hatian indian jamaican Black white cuban and asian I only came for two days of playing But everytime I come I always wind up stayin This the type of town I could spend a few days in Miami the city that keeps the roof blazin
Chorus
Party in the city where the heat is on All night on the beach till the break of dawn Welcome to miami Buenvenidos a miami Bouncin in the club where the heat is on All night on the beach till the break of dawn Im goin to miami Welcome to miami
Verse 2
Yo I heard the rainstorms aint nothin to mess with But I cant feel a drip on the strip its a trip Ladies half dressed fully equipped And they be screamin out will we loved your last hit So Im thinkin ima scoot me somethin hot In this south sea merengue melting pot Hottest club in the city and its right on the beach Temperature get to ya its about to reach Five hundred degrees In the carribean seas with the hot mommies Screamin aii poppy Everytime I come to town they be spottin me In the drop bentley aint no stoppin me So cash in your door We flow to this fashion show Pound for pound anywhere you go Yo aint no city in the world like this An if you ask how I know I gots ta feed the film
Chorus
Verse 3
Dont get me wrong shytown got it goin on An new york is the city that we know dont sleep An we all know that l a and philly stay jiggy But on the sneak miami bringin heat for real Yall dont understand I never seen so many dominican women with cinnimon tans Mierda this is the plan Take a walk on the beach draw a heart in the sand Gimmie your hand Damn you look sexy Lets go to my yacht in the west keys Ride my jetskis loungin in the palm trees Cause you gotta have cheese for the summerhouse piece on southbeach Water so clear you can see to the bottom Hundred thousand dollar cars eybody got em Aint no surprise in the club to see sly stallone Miami my second home
Does anyone else agree with me or am I just being a sore loser?

Well, I had called in and was going to give the "uh" answer because Paul had indicated on Tuesday that or "yeah" was right, but looking at the lyrics I can see a potential controversy. I'm going to have to give the actual song a listen and count the uhs.
Oh well. On to the next six questions.

There ARE 11 "uh"s in the song. Forget how many you count looking at the lyrics (like a lot of things on the net, it's incorrect). Listen to the song closely (I used head phones) and you'll hear 11. Congrats to the winner for getting thru.

Jeff, I'm Sorry. But you are wrong. Where is it that you hear these other Uhs?
And as for the lyrics, I can understand your argument but if you go to ANY lyrics site online they will all say "Yeah" and not Uh on that one part.
Im serious, go to ANY lyrics site and you'll see.

again, i'm with Luis on this one. i listened to a regular version twice (once while reading the lyrics along with it), and the one with the remix at the end (not a huge fan of that song, by the way) and again, i only counted 7 "uh"s. scandle!

Carrie, Thank you. At least someone is listneing to me. I've sent E-mails to Paul and Branzig stating my case. Hopefully they'll listen. If I had Andy Bebe's E-mail I'd send it to him too.
I apologize for you actually haveing to listen to the song. I know, it's a chore. I don't think any human on earth has heard it more then I have in the past few weeks trying to get my answer at one point I was actually starting to like it...that was madness.
Again, Thank you!

Luis, I haven't read any lyrics or listened to the song so I can't comment on the nature of this "scandal." However, in the spirit of being a s#!t disturber, Andy Beebe's email is andrewbeebe@clearchannel.com. Good luck exposing the "truth." Blow this thing wide open!

To Danny Diaz...
Congrats! I was finally made aware as to Uhs in the song. As you can imagine i was rather angry when I heard your answer, mostly because I thought it was wrong. But, of course, the fault laid with me as in all the hundreds (and I'm serious...hundres) of times I heard that song in the past few weeks I just kept listing to the Uhs in the beginng and never once heard the ones in the middle of the song. I knew there was something important in that section of the song but never once heard it..untill late last night.
So, sorry for acting kina dick-ish on these boards but I was just so 100%-absolutly-totally-positivly sure of my self that at the time the only thing that made sense was to tell the world that I was wronged. I wasn't. You won. Congrats!

Luis -
You don't have to apologize - I probably would've acted the same way. When you truly believe in something 100%- it's hard sometimes to see anything else - which isn't a bad quality.
What's more important than anything is that you've taken the high road and I appreciate that.
If I share with all of you our "sappy" story - ya'll wouldn't believe it - but here it goes anyways - I feel that I have to share it. Keeping with the theme of absolutely-positively-100% believing in something.
Again, I've been listening to them since the 90's - I grew up going to highschool listening to them in the mornings. We listen to the show every day on my way to drop off my daughters at school--alot of the times I have to censor it, because it's not appropriate content for the girls---but for the most part it's all good.
Every morning - Danielle (who's in the 5th grade) has to be in class by 8:30am, but she LOVES to listen to you can't win--so sometimes we're pushing it...and when we got to the last question, everyday she would say, dad if someone wins it, please call me...etc..etc..
Well we heard the show on Tues. and that night, we played the song a hundred times super loud in the house for hours - DROVE MY WIFE CRAZY!! We were up till extremely late - 1 am.
At that point we had the answer -and we BELIEVED that we would get thru on Wed. Wednesday comes...we try to get thru but all the lines were busy--while we were trying - Danielle was extremely frustrated (to put it nicely) that we weren't getting thru.
We heard the Wed caller - and I simply told her that THURSDAY was OUR day. We BOTH had to BELIEVE and already KNOW that our call was going to get thru - I TOLD HER TO VISUALIZE throughout the day that we had gotten thru, that we had won all the prizes - I just told her to believe and have faith.
Wed Night when my wife gets home, she shares with us that they were eating a king cake at her office and she got the baby in her slice of cake--which according to the tradition means that you'll have good luck for the year.
In any event that night-- we're having dinner at our friends house and before dinner Danielle asks if she could say the prayer. So we're all there, holding hands - and the first words out of Danielle's mouth are something to the effect "God, please let Paul and Ron pick up our call tomorrow so that we can win you can't win." At that moment we all start to laugh and share with her that you don't ask God for things - you give thanks for what you have.
Before going to bed - I asked her - are you ready for our big day tomorrow - she was psyched---and so was I. Because we BOTH BELIEVED AND VISUALIZED AND 100% KNEW THAT we were going to get thru and win!!!
Get to Thurs. Morning. I call on my cell - I get thru but they tell me I'm too early. I immediately tell Danielle to hurry up and call. She does, and HER phone gets thru. I then told her to hold on the line while I kept trying on my cell... but I kept on getting busy signals. I then took her phone and she kept trying to get thru on my cell.
At this point I have the radio off/turned down in my car because we were on hold and could hear the show thru the phone...so she has no idea what's happening... then when they picked up the phone and said caller 15 are you there... I was like.. I'M HERE... I'M HERE... I honestly don't know how I didn't crash my car--- I had to pull over when we got to question 6 - and the rest is history. We went crazy, it was awesome.
So again - for everyone out there... You gotta BELIEVE and KNOW it's already yours - 100%. I was taught that as a child, and we sometimes forget. We've been living that way since I can remember - and everything we have in our life is a blessing.
I wish everyone a happy new year - this is a great way to start off the year!
Now I've gotta get back to work!!
Speaking of which if anyone here, your friends, family, co-workers has questions or is interested in buying or selling real estate - I would welcome the opportunity to be of service.
I couldn't say it enough - IT'S AN EXCELLENT time to be in the market to buy a home - I could list more than 10 reasons why...
Equally as important - it's important to have the right representation - and I have the experience, education and RESULTS to show why you should contact us.
I work at Midtown Realty International, our family owned real estate business. We've been in real estate for over 30 years, and we'd welcome the Big1059 community to join our family of customers.

I can't think of a better person to come second place to (i guess you can call it 2nd place).
I too have been a paul and ron fan since I was a child. Now that I'm 22 and have a fairly good Idea of what I want to do with my life, I now look at the show as more then a "morning radio show" but, rather, a source of inspiration, you see, I want to be a screenwriter. I want to write films and TV shows.
Over the years I realized one of my strong suits was my ability to write witty, snappy dialogue. One of my biggest sources of inspiration has always been paul and ron and their simple conversations that expose so much about who they are while still being so entertaining.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Paul and Ron go beyond entertainment. They bring us together, as dumb and sappy as that sounds, it's true. I was angry yesterday but now am happy to know that the prize went to a guy that earned it. Who knows? Maybe, in due time, I'll earn my YCW win too.
Well, that's it for me on these fourms...that is, until the next You Can't Win...
Oh, one more thing. Danny, when I make my first millions off an award winning film, you'll be the guy I go to when I buy my first plot of land.
