so young ron got pissed and left the show this morning cuz of the text message bit. i didnt get to hear it because the big105 online feed was down. i called in and they told me to try the Gater feed and i got on just in time to hear them call ron's cell phone. ron said hello, listened to paul say they were on the air, then hung up.
anybody want to cohost a sofla radio morning show? :lol:

WOW, that sounds wild.
I loved the "Ron having an affair"-bit, but I wouldn't have guessed they would go that far. I didn't get to listen because of the missing stream (I didn't realize I could catch it on the Gater).
I'll post the audio tomorrow morning danish time - that's when y'all are catching zzzzs ;-)

nope
they called him later and paul flat out told him "you cant QUIT the
show" and he rep;ied he isnt quitting, he was just going home to
"straighten things out with Mrs Brewer". he threw in a couple of
zingers, so he wasnt that pissed.

So anyone believing any of this? I doubt if "Young" Ron is really even
married, maybe to a pizza and a bottle lol. IF it's true, he's in deep
shit! To have the caller ID come up with a name (TK) instead of a
number is pretty bad. But I heard something about his son programming
the phone, that lead me to believe they might say it was his son
that put in the TK... maybe it's his kids friend?
Just found this site the other day when searching for info about you
cant win. Any more guesses about the 11 things in Miami? TV
Stations that speak english? 7-11's that speak english?
lol. I thought maybe strip clubs or XXX video places.
Keep posting...

I personally thought the entire bit was a gag. They got a lot of mileage out of it. I honestly thought that Ron was in on it the whole time. What convinced me it was real was when Gina said Ron's wife's name, Rhenn, on the air. If it was a bat she'd have said Loquisha or whatever his fake black wife's name is. Good gag though.

You forgot that Paul and Ron are on The Gater too, whcih has a stream independent of Big 105. I listened on The Gater all morning. Sure you gotta put up with PSAs which Paul and Ron had removed from Big (THANKS TO CRAIG! YOU ROCK CRAIG!) but at least I heard the show.

It totally bugs me, that I didn't get to hear it yesterday...
Luckily my man OMG will help me out. I wrote him to ask if he could replay the whole thing on Saturday and he wrote back that he would so tune in on Saturday if you missed Wednessday's broadcast.
But Gina even called in and gave out Ron's wife's name, huh? Ron's whole radio character facade is really cracking these days and I for one love it...
I can't really figure out if it's real or not... I want to believe it, but I'm leaning towards the fact that most likely it's a bit. The timing with the text messages coming in and then that Tammy girl calling in... - that wouldn't happen in real life, would it?

Oh Soren it was totally a bit, but its hard to tell if Ron was actually in on it. The text messages were coming in from the interns in the other room, so that makes sense, and Paul and Ron have a listner base of around half million now. It was guaranteed that someone would call in saying they were Tammy, and the interns would put them through. It just feeds the fire. Good on that girl for calling, whatever her name really is. The part that makes me think that Ron was in on it was the fact that he just played it off yesterday. But then again Paul had 19 hours to talk to Ron about it. Either way it was funny how they ripped on him so bad for having TK in his phone. If you didnt hear it you'll hear what I mean when Soren posts the audio.

Yes, I realized when I caught some explanations on Friday's show. They may have explained it also Thursday but I didn't catch the whole Thursday either...
It was a pretty convincing bit, but it should be considering that every one except Ron was in on it. I love bits like this and I would love it even but if it had been real, but you can't have it all, right?
