need an idea for an 18th birthday for our son in the hospitol

Posted by saher abdulhadi on Sep 19 2007 10:18 PM

our son ( nick ) has been battling anorexia for 1 1/2 years now . hospitolized 4 times . had to leave school. has vitually no friends anymore .

he is so depressed on spending his birthday in the hospitol( miami childrens hospitol)

would love some ideas .for his birthday - september 29th

he`s a rocker at heart . loves the 80`s rock n roll

he`s an incredible artist ; loves snakes ( has 4 pythons at home)

he likes that gnarls barkley song " crazy",

 he`s articulate , very low-key , has no ego .

paul and young ron , you`d love his sarcasm .  he`s just going through so much .

he`s really struggling to get better . he has 5 doctors who meet everyday and talk about nick and how to get him mentally better

anorexia is harder to treat than a drug addiction .it can take literally years .

he was 2 years ago 270 lbs .  now at 5'10" tall he is at 120 lbs ( thats after gaining 6 lbs in the last 4 weeks)

 any ideas ?

I don't mean to sound insensitive but get him some DVDs of TV shows. Throughtout TV history the fat guy always gets the hot wife. Examples:

The Simpsons - Homer Simpson is fat, Marge is (marginally) hot.

Family Guy - Peter Griffin is fat, Lois is hot.

The Flintstones - Fred Flintstone is fat, Wilma is hot.

The Honeymooners - Ralph Kramden is fat, Alice is hot.

Married With Children - Al Bundy is fat, Peggy is (once again, marginally) hot.

Just pop culture evidence that you don't need to be thin to get the girl.

Plus one for either of the above ideas. I love my Wii. And I can't help but laugh watching The Family Guy...
