You Can't Win
Posted by Kimberly on Apr 14 2009 10:15 AM
Any ideas for the answer to question 1? I never heard the clue, so I guess that makes me "clueless". Ha Ha. Let's get this site back on track. C'mon all.

A few people guessed Paul, and someone guessed Ron. I have a theory but I'm listening at work when they play and I can't make personal calls, so I guess maybe one of you could try it out. I think it might be Paul Newman. He was one of the greatest actors of the 20th century and he has a line of sauces and such. I don't know if he was a serious chef, but he must have known something about food since his sauces are so good. anyway, if you get to be caller 13 you might as well give it a try. The whole South America clue threw me off, though.

I think it is Isaac Hayes. He played a chef on South Park. He is also an American. "South America" I e-mailed Paul, but I know he can't reveal whether or not I am right. Who knows. Good Luck to all.

I believe it is Freddie Prinze Jr. No, I dont know how the clue ties in. Freddie went to culinary school as a fallback to acting.

i called in and spoke to toast( i think) today and suggested that if the caller doesn't even know the clue, they shouldn't be allowed to play...he chuckled and said they would take it under advisement...i took that as a NO....it's just frustrating to waste a good opportunity to at least hear a valid wrong answer (i.e. pillsbury dough boy!) if i get through i'm going to answer "Charo"

I not totaly sure, but I do believe Hannibal Lector (Silence of the lambs) stated "I'm going to South America to have an old friend for dinner" at the end of the movie, some internet searches show him as a chef. Let's get to question 2, if somone gets through, try this anwser, My wife and I have been trying for weeks with no luck. uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Hannibal_Lecter - 36k

Today's anwser, George Forman was, "On the right track". Now I know Hannibal is wrong.
I am a chef =A chef is a person who cooks professionally. In a professional kitchen setting, the term is used only for the one person in charge of everyone else in the ...I think it is a former pro that now owns and runs the kitchen of a restaraunt , possibly in or from South America, any Ideas?

Sorry, I did not know Isaac Hayes was already given as an answer. Yes, you obviously missed something. Isaac Hayes provided the voice of the chef on "SOUTH" Park. There is your South answer and he is an American, hence, SOUTH AMERICA. It was only a guess, I did not say that it was a definite answer. Who is your guess? I see that you were quick to point out some misfortunes, but added no help. Hmmmm, Thanks for the insight.

I think I got it, Francis Ford Coppola....He owns two restaraunts and I found this article:
When it comes to cooking food or making films, Francis Ford Coppola has a simple mantra: “You make what you like. Whether you are a director or a cook, you’re in the decision business,” he told Forbes Traveler. “All day long you’re saying yes, yes, more of that, no, no, less of this.” For the Oscar-winning director and screenwriter, this recipe has served him well. The Cafe Zoetrope in San Francisco and the Cafe Rosso & Bianco in Palo Alto are doing quite well, thank you.
Coppola oversees nearly every detail of his cafes, even working beside new chefs to show how the dish should look ("Don't chop the basil, tear it, in big pieces," he explains).
South America??? Well, he is currently directing a movie there, "Tetro" due to be released on June 11, 2009.

I found more info to confirm Coppola, I'm now 99.9% sure.
Coppola is currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He also spends considerable time in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he is establishing a subsidiary of his production company. In San Francisco, Coppola owns a restaurant named Coppola owns the Turtle Inn in Placencia, Belize. For 14 years he co-owned the Rubicon restaurant in San Francisco along with Robin Williams and Robert De Niro, the restaurant closed in August 2008.Cafe Zoetrope, located in the Sentinel Building. It serves traditional Italian cuisine and wine from his personal vineyard and bottling company.
I do believe Robert De Niro was considered a good guess, and everybody known that The Godfather (directed by Coppola) is one of Paul's favorite movies.

Remember, the questions are "Ungoogleable", and the commute time is the first search, it could not be that easy.
"It" could actually take beween 24 to 28 min.
My first guess would be:
The time it takes Anthony's to prepare and cook a Paul and Young Ron Pizza ;)

That sounds like too much time, especially with a coal fired oven, their pizzas should be ready after no more than 8 min in the oven. Give 5 min to prepare, that's about 13 - 15 min, 26 is too much time. But I could be wrong, never been to Anthonys.

After some research I Agree, but how about this,
(I remember them talking about this)
The time it takes to warm up an Anthony's coal fired oven.
( only thing is that there are many employee's that would know the anwser, butI can't find anything on-line about it)
OR: (Paul likes fishing in Bimini)
The flight time from Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini
The pristine sea, sand, and sunshine of your island retreat lies only 48 nautical miles east of the Florida Coast. You can catch a brief 25-minute flight from Ft. Lauderdale.
