bio by Soren

Steve Branzig was the producer of The Paul and Young Ron Show. He replaced Tommy Owen who went to L.A. to produce the Rick Dees Show.

Branzig had some big shoes to fill but he did it very well. Self irony was a big part of his sense of humor and he had a lot of funny one liners delivered with his trademark shreaky voice.

Branzig came out on the show right after the whole debacle with Tim Hardaway announcing that he hated gay people. Paul at that time had been eluding to it for some weeks and Branzig seemed more relieved after it finally was made official on the show. Since then it's mentioned every so often and Paul and the others often ask him gay-related questions. There's absolutely nothing weird about him being gay and Branzig can talk about his sexual orientation like Paul talks about fishing or Ron about shelling.

Steve Brancik (Branzig) was fired from The Paul And Young Ron Show on August 11th 2009 after he was arrested for alleged sexual behavior with a minor.

Paul's public commet was this: "I'm thinking about possible victims and families and it's hard for me not to talk about things because I'm a talk show host. But because of legalities, I have no comment on the situation right now."
