Cast members of The Paul and Young Ron Show
Omelette
bio by Bruce
Omelette (real name unknown) – one of the original great “3rd guys” – a truly legendary “stunt” boy.
I believe Omelette started as an intern in the 90’s at WZTA (94.9) with Paul and Ron, but I’m not sure. One thing is for sure, Omelette liked to party. You couldn’t trust him with a $1 bill, but he sure knew how to have a good time. At one point, Omelette “quit” the show on the air, with his famous line “See you later, Zeta”. Paul swears it was real – I’m tempted to believe him. Omelette had a special relationship with listeners – they loved him, and loved buying drinks for him. If Omelette was at a promotion, good times were sure to follow (along with a lawsuit or two).
Paul has remained friends with Omelette since his departure, and even gotten him a job or two at other radio stations. Ocassionally he’s called in to the show. Omelette changes jobs like some people change clothes. He’s currently working at WKLT in Northern Michigan doing the “Omelette and Finster” morning show. Not exactly a major market. But it looks like Omelette is having fun, and that’s what Omelette did best.
